The 2025 Dubai International Baja runs from November 20–23, closing the FIA and FIM Baja World Cups with dramatic desert racing.

DUBAI: Motorsports enthusiasts can gear up for an adrenaline-fuelled spectacle as the Dubai International Baja 2025 is set to take place from November 20 to 23. Organised by the Emirates Motorsport Organization (EMSO) under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the event marks the grand finale of the FIA World Baja Cup for cars and FIM Baja World Cup for bikes and quads.

Now in its ninth edition since adopting the Baja format, and 46 years after the first Dubai Rally in 1979, this iconic motorsports event has cemented itself as a cornerstone of the UAE’s off-road racing calendar. The Dubai International Baja is renowned for its technical difficulty, vast desert landscapes, and stunning terrain — attracting elite international competitors eager to take on the region’s challenges.

This year’s race starts at Dubai Festival City and heads into the Hajar Mountains of Hatta for a scenic yet demanding Prologue stage. Competitors will then tackle two high-intensity desert stages in Al Qudra’s shifting dunes, pushing man and machine to their limits.

The event is held in partnership with key government entities, including Dubai Police, RTA, and Dubai Municipality, with Al-Futtaim Toyota returning as the official automotive partner. These collaborations ensure world-class safety, organisation, and logistics.

According to EMSO President His Excellency Khalid Ben Sulayem, the Dubai International Baja 2025 stands as a powerful showcase of Dubai’s passion for motorsport, blending innovation with heritage. “Each year, the event grows in stature and scale, drawing top drivers from around the world. It also spotlights Dubai as a global destination for elite racing,” he said.

As registration closes on 6 November, the list of contenders hoping to emulate 2024 champions Nasser Al Attiyah, Konrad Dabrowski, and Abdulaziz Ahli is expected to reflect the sport’s rising competitiveness. With a combination of scenic terrain, desert endurance, and international prestige, the 2025 Dubai International Baja promises another thrilling chapter in UAE motorsport history.
