The Dubai Land Department unveiled a Digital Sale service on the Dubai Now app, offering 24/7 remote real estate transactions with full security.
DUBAI: In a landmark move towards fully digital real estate services, the Dubai Land Department (DLD) has launched the first phase of its new ‘Digital Sale’ service through the Dubai Now app. The announcement was made during GITEX Global 2025, showcasing Dubai’s leadership in embracing smart technologies.
This initiative enables users to remotely conduct end-to-end real estate transactions—from sale contracts to final ownership certificates—entirely via the app. Users can sign digitally using the UAE Pass and finalise procedures securely anytime, anywhere. The service supports Dubai’s wider digital economy ambitions as outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and Real Estate Strategy 2033.
Through the Digital Sale platform, a seller generates the contract, signs it, and shares it with the buyer. After the buyer transfers funds into a secure account, ownership is instantly transferred, and the new title deed is issued—all through the Dubai Now app. This streamlined process eliminates the need for physical visits and significantly reduces transaction times.
DLD stated that this innovation reflects its commitment to enhancing transparency, trust, and convenience for property investors and residents. It also aims to sustain the growth momentum in Dubai’s real estate sector, which has seen exceptional performance in recent years.
To qualify, properties must be located in freehold zones, be mortgage-free, and have a single owner. Both buyer and seller must possess a valid Emirates ID, a UAE bank account, and an active UAE Pass.
The Dubai Now app, which integrates over 350 services from 50 government and private entities, continues to evolve as a unified platform for city-wide digital services.
