Dubai’s RTA launches “Data Drive – Clear Guide,” an AI-powered platform for real-time traffic monitoring, analysis, and congestion reduction.
DUBAI: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched “Data Drive – Clear Guide,” a smart digital platform designed to study and analyse both historical and real-time traffic flow across Dubai’s road network. Covering five years of data, the platform enables instant detection of road conditions, congestion points, and traffic patterns, supporting faster and more informed decision-making.
As part of RTA’s strategy to leverage artificial intelligence in reducing congestion, the platform strengthens Dubai’s digital transformation and competitiveness, aligning with its vision to be the world’s smartest city. It integrates advanced analytics to assess road performance over different timeframes, compare data with historical trends, and detect sudden changes in speed or traffic flow.
Previously, traffic reports required weeks of manual data collection and analysis from consultants and field teams. Now, thanks to “Data Drive – Clear Guide,” the same information is available within minutes. The system also allows real-time monitoring of traffic diversions, road works, and event-related disruptions, enabling swift interventions to minimise delays.
The platform features an interactive map displaying live road conditions, allowing users to specify areas for analysis based on indicators like average speed, traffic density, and travel time. RTA confirms this innovation will improve traffic management efficiency, reduce congestion, and enhance road safety for all road users.
