DUBAI: A major boost for daily commuters! A brand-new Dubai Sharjah bus service is launching as part of the latest updates to intercity transport. Route E308, operated by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), will connect Stadium Bus Station in Dubai to Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah starting 2nd May 2025.

The fare for the Dubai Sharjah bus journey is a pocket-friendly AED 12 per trip. This expansion is part of RTA’s broader strategy to enhance public transit networks and boost Dubai Sharjah connectivity.

Adel Shakeri, Director of Planning and Business Development at RTA, stated, “Enhancing intermodal connectivity is central to positioning public transport as the preferred choice for mobility across the emirate.”

In addition to the new Dubai Sharjah bus service, RTA will also enhance several other routes from the same date:

  • Route 17 will now terminate at Baniyas Square Metro Station.
  • Route 24 rerouted within Al Nahda 1.
  • Route 44 redirected to cover Dubai Festival City.
  • Route 56 extended to DWC Staff Village.
  • Routes 66 & 67 now stop at Al Ruwayah Farm.
  • Route 32C, C26, E16, F12, F27, F47, F54, and X92 adjusted for better service coverage.

These changes aim to deliver a smoother, faster, and more integrated commuting experience across Dubai and Sharjah.
