DUBAI: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has approved a new cabinet formation in the UAE, announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The updated cabinet includes significant appointments, notably H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, who will now serve as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence.
Additionally, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan retains his role as Minister of Foreign Affairs while taking on the new role of Deputy Prime Minister.
The restructuring also introduces changes in the education sector and establishes new ministries such as the Ministry of Sports and a Minister of State for Entrepreneurship.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum expressed, “After consultations with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and receiving his approval, we announce today a reshuffle of the cabinet. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum joins as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence.”
He praised Sheikh Hamdan’s leadership qualities and affirmed his belief that Sheikh Hamdan will significantly contribute to the UAE’s future.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasized, “We also announce the appointment of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan as Deputy Prime Minister in addition to his role as Minister of Foreign Affairs as part of these governmental adjustments.”
