The 16th Ice Warrior Challenge at Ski Dubai saw over 500 athletes tackle sub-zero obstacles, with top honours going to Hallvard Borsheim, Michala Radomska, and Carrefour MOE team.

DUBAI: The 16th edition of the Ice Warrior Challenge concluded yesterday at Ski Dubai, crowning champions from a field of 560 athletes representing 69 nationalities, including 194 Emiratis. Organised in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council, the event tested participants with 28 icy obstacles in sub-zero temperatures.

Spanning multiple categories, the obstacle challenge brought together fitness enthusiasts aged 15 to 60, from first-timers to elite athletes.

In the Elite Fitness Category, Hallvard Borsheim led the men’s division with a stellar finish time of 00:31:02, followed by Alisher Nazarov (00:36:29) and Rich Zielinski (00:37:33). In the women’s division, Michala Radomska claimed top spot at 00:56:04, with Forough Shakiba placing second at 01:13:52.

The Individual Category saw Teo Zampa win the men’s title with 00:18:35, followed by Yeison Londono Franco and Shiva Shahi. Among women, Hilda Allin took top honours with 00:27:44, ahead of Natalie Mysheva and Nada Omar.

In the Team Category, Carrefour Mall of the Emirates emerged victorious with a team time of 00:29:09. They were closely followed by Gambit Communications (00:31:23) and Kebab Power (00:33:00).

Launched in 2010, the Ice Warrior Challenge has become a signature sporting event in Dubai, attracting both seasoned athletes and adrenaline-seekers alike. Ski Dubai and Dubai Sports Council continue to work together to host exciting fitness events that promote community wellbeing, inclusivity, and active living.

The 2025 edition was backed by sponsors including VOX Cinemas, Yalla! Bowling, Carrefour, lululemon, All Saints, Garmin, Mai Dubai, LightWhey, Jetour, and Wellfit, among others.
