The UAE launches the visionary “Mother of the Nation 50:50 Vision” to boost Emirati women’s empowerment locally and globally, in line with UAE Centennial 2071.

ABU DHABI: The UAE has unveiled the “Mother of the Nation 50:50 Vision”, a forward-looking national strategy led by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak to solidify Emirati women’s role across the nation’s development and global influence. Announced during Emirati Women’s Day celebrations, this initiative serves as a blueprint for the next five decades of gender-balanced progress, reaching into 2075.

The “Mother of the Nation Vision 50:50” is based on three foundational pillars: family and national identity, governance and strategic frameworks, and international development partnerships. Its goal is to position the UAE among the top countries globally in women’s empowerment, with a focus on innovation, leadership, and inclusivity.

The focus keyphrase Mother of the Nation Vision is central to the new initiative that strengthens governance systems, launches foresight labs in tech and AI, and enhances representation of Emirati women in global decision-making roles. It also introduces nationwide strategies for balancing family life and professional careers, particularly in education, technology, and public policy.

Additionally, Emirati women will benefit from enhanced support in healthcare, STEM education, global diplomacy, and leadership training. The UAE will expand its international footprint with partnerships and awards that highlight women’s achievements and impact, further embedding the values of the Mother of the Nation Vision into global discourse.

By aligning with UAE Centennial 2071 and community-driven priorities under “Hand in Hand,” the vision represents a monumental step in strengthening the country’s global leadership in inclusive development. As President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed emphasised, the success of the UAE is closely tied to the empowerment of its women, and this initiative reaffirms that commitment well into the future.
