FOCP’s Pink October 2025 closes with 19,527 breast cancer screenings across 80 UAE locations, marking highest-ever public engagement.

SHARJAH: The Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) has concluded its most successful Pink October campaign to date, delivering 19,527 free breast cancer screenings across 80 UAE locations. The nationwide initiative, led by the Pink Caravan, marks the highest level of public and institutional participation in the campaign’s history.

Themed “A Community Through Her,” the month-long initiative combined early detection services with educational workshops, Corporate Wellness Days, awareness campaigns, and public events. Eleven fixed clinics, alongside mobile and mini mobile units, offered screenings in malls, hospitals, community spaces, and workplaces.

A highlight of the campaign was the Aljada event in Sharjah, which welcomed over 8,500 visitors and provided 1,135 free screenings. FOCP also partnered with Battle Cancer Dubai to deliver on-site screening during the fitness challenge.

More than 20 sponsors and partners supported the effort, including Crescent Petroleum, Arada, Ellington Properties, and Arabian Automobiles. The campaign mobilised 111 volunteers, including doctors, nurses, and community members, reinforcing FOCP’s mission of collective action against cancer.

Aisha Al Mulla, Director of FOCP, said, “Early detection saves lives. These milestones strengthen Sharjah’s leadership in humanitarian health initiatives, aligned with the UAE’s national healthcare vision.”

With a strong foundation of community trust and support, FOCP continues its year-round cancer awareness through initiatives like the Pink Shop, helping patients and families beyond October.
