Aster Volunteers’ Heart2Heart Cares 2025 campaign has pledged 50 new pediatric heart surgeries, raising the total to 214 free procedures for underprivileged children.

DUBAI: Aster Volunteers, the CSR arm of Aster DM Healthcare, concluded its fifth edition of Heart2Heart Cares with a major milestone — pledging an additional 50 free pediatric heart surgeries for underprivileged children. Held at Zabeel Park on 2 November 2025, the event marked a vibrant celebration of compassion and community fitness.

Launched on World Heart Day, the one-month campaign engaged nearly 32,000 participants globally, who committed to walking 10,000 steps daily or burning equivalent calories. This fitness-driven charity initiative not only raised heart health awareness but directly contributed to funding life-saving surgeries.

Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, revealed that the cumulative total of surgeries conducted under the Heart2Heart programme has now reached at least 214 children over four years. The campaign aims to provide these crucial procedures to children from regions where heart care is unaffordable or unavailable.

The finale at Zabeel Park gathered over 2,500 attendees, including Aster DM’s leadership team, diplomats, and community members. The Mega Walk was flagged off with great enthusiasm and supported by vibrant cultural performances. Participants were awarded for their step counts and dedication, reflecting the campaign’s spirit of collective impact.

Through Heart2Heart Cares, Aster DM Foundation and its hospitals continue supporting congenital heart disease care, which remains a leading global health challenge. The campaign has made a lasting difference across the GCC and India, combining health, awareness and philanthropy in a unique format.

The programme serves as a model of how community engagement and health initiatives can change lives — one step and one surgery at a time.
