DUBAI: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s Crown Prince, recently met Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X Corp. (formerly Twitter), at The Executive Office in Emirates Towers, Dubai. This meeting signals Dubai’s strong commitment to collaborating with global tech leaders as part of its vision to position itself as a top innovation hub.

Sheikh Hamdan highlighted Dubai’s dedication to advancing digital transformation, a key objective of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to generate AED100 billion in economic value annually over the next decade. X Corp.’s evolving role as an all-in-one digital hub aligns seamlessly with Dubai’s focus on AI and other advanced technologies, marking it as a significant partner in Dubai’s journey toward tech-driven growth.

With approximately 4,000 media and tech companies in Dubai, the city has developed a thriving ecosystem, serving as a launchpad for groundbreaking initiatives in the region. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that Dubai provides an ideal base for leading global companies to innovate, expand, and set digital engagement standards across the Middle East and beyond.

During the discussion, potential partnerships were explored to support shared goals of innovation and digital advancement. Sheikh Hamdan expressed optimism about a long-term collaboration with X Corp., envisioning it as a valuable contributor to the UAE’s digital future. “We are excited to see how this partnership can create lasting value for both the UAE and X, setting an example for impactful collaboration between a global tech leader and one of the world’s most forward-thinking nations,” he added.

X Corp., which opened its Dubai office in 2015, has established a strong presence in the Middle East, where some of its largest markets are based. In attendance at the meeting was Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence and Director-General of the Dubai Crown Prince’s Office.
