Global academic leaders endorse Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s leadership as a world-class model driving innovation, strategy, and sustainable governance.
DUBAI: Some of the world’s most respected universities have praised the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, describing his governance style as a transformative model of modern leadership. The recognition follows a series of agreements signed with the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development (MBRCLD) to launch a global Leadership Programme and Dubai Leadership Research initiative.
Signed during the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum, the Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) bring together academic giants such as Georgetown University, HEC Paris, IESE, IMD, and INSEAD to produce high-level research, case studies and educational material documenting Dubai’s exceptional development under Sheikh Mohammed’s guidance. These resources will be tailored for MBA and executive education programmes, establishing a global academic reference point for visionary leadership.
Paul Almeida, Dean at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, noted that Sheikh Mohammed’s strategic foresight and focus on human-centred development are reshaping global leadership norms. He emphasised that Dubai’s rise as a hub for finance, technology, and culture is no accident but the result of bold decision-making and innovation-driven planning.
Pablo Martin de Holan, Dean of HEC Paris, Doha, hailed the collaboration as a commitment to nurturing global leaders who turn adversity into opportunity, while Andrea Montalvo from IESE said their case study would spotlight Dubai’s innovation and results-driven model of governance.
IMD President David Bach said the forthcoming case study will celebrate Sheikh Mohammed’s enduring vision and impact, and Professor Mark Mortensen of INSEAD highlighted how integrating Dubai’s lessons into the classroom would equip future leaders to shape the global future with purpose.
The Dubai Leadership Research will be incorporated into workshops, conferences, and curricula worldwide, showcasing the emirate’s journey as a living case study of impactful governance, strategic resilience, and people-first progress.
