Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed represented the UAE at the BRICS Virtual Summit, reaffirming support for global cooperation and development.
ABU DHABI: On behalf of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, participated in the BRICS Leaders Virtual Summit hosted by Brazil.
The summit, convened by Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, brought together leaders and representatives from key global economies to discuss deeper cooperation and sustainable development among member nations. During the summit, H.H. Sheikh Khaled delivered the UAE’s official address and conveyed President Sheikh Mohamed’s greetings and best wishes to all attending countries.
In his remarks, Sheikh Khaled commended Brazil’s leadership of the BRICS bloc in 2025 and acknowledged the successful outcomes of the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro. He reaffirmed the UAE’s belief in the BRICS platform as a critical enabler of multilateral dialogue and a driver of international development.
He also highlighted the UAE’s commitment to fostering economic partnerships that promote sustainability, growth, and prosperity. These values, he noted, align with BRICS’ goals of enhancing trade, cooperation in infrastructure, digital transformation, and energy among developing nations.
Key participants at the summit included President Xi Jinping of China, President Vladimir Putin of Russia, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt, and President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, among others. Discussions focused on advancing global economic integration and strengthening political dialogue on international trade challenges.
