Fifty UAE Chief AI Officers are visiting top US tech firms like Google and Microsoft to boost innovation and AI collaboration.
DUBAI: In a major move to strengthen the UAE’s leadership in artificial intelligence and digital transformation, a delegation of 50 Chief AI Officers from federal and local entities has embarked on a high-level visit to leading US technology companies.
Organised by the Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications Office in collaboration with the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, the 10-day visit will take the delegation to some of the world’s most influential tech firms, including Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, OpenAI, NVIDIA, IBM, and Palantir.
The initiative is part of the UAE’s broader efforts under the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy and the UAE Centennial 2071 vision. It reflects the country’s commitment to becoming a global model for AI-powered governance and future-ready innovation.
Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, highlighted that the visit is a strategic milestone, enabling direct engagement with global tech leaders while accelerating the UAE’s digital transformation journey. He emphasised that such exposure to best practices and cutting-edge technologies will empower the nation’s AI officers to drive impactful change across sectors.
Mohammed bin Taliah, Chief of Government Services and head of the delegation, stated that the programme offers invaluable opportunities to learn from global experts, understand emerging AI applications, and adopt innovative solutions that enhance public services and policymaking.
During the tour, the delegates will participate in workshops, networking sessions, and knowledge exchange initiatives. They will also explore strategic partnerships to strengthen the UAE’s position as a hub for digital economy, innovation, and smart government.
The initiative underlines the UAE’s focus on building strong human capital in AI and technology fields, ensuring national talent is equipped to lead in a competitive global digital landscape. This knowledge-sharing mission will also reinforce the country’s presence on the international AI stage and further its ambition to shape the future of governance through advanced digital tools.
