The UAE has launched Domestic Worker Services on its Work Bundle platform, allowing visa and residency processes to be completed fully online.
ABU DHABI: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has launched an innovative digital solution for UAE residents seeking to hire or manage domestic workers. The new Domestic Worker Services are now live on the Work Bundle platform, revolutionising how households across the Emirates handle visa, residency, and contract formalities.
This bold move supports the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme by eliminating unnecessary paperwork and making essential services more accessible. Through the unified digital platform “Work in UAE” (workinuae.ae), users can complete key tasks such as issuing, renewing, or cancelling residency visas for domestic workers—without visiting any government office.
Residents can use the portal to fill out a standardised form, upload required documents, schedule medical tests, electronically sign employment contracts, and even receive Emirates ID and residency approvals—all within a secure, user-friendly online environment powered by UAE Pass.
Khalil Ibrahim Khoori, Undersecretary for Labour Market and Emiratisation Operations at MoHRE, praised the collaboration between government bodies for bringing this seamless solution to life. He emphasised that the platform reflects the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the UAE’s mission to lead in digital government service delivery.
The initiative simplifies hiring processes while safeguarding the rights of all parties involved. Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili called it a “pioneering model” that enhances the UAE’s reputation for efficiency and quality of life.
By integrating various government services under one digital roof, the Work Bundle cuts down processing steps, reduces stress, and saves time for residents—making hiring domestic workers as easy as a few taps on a phone.
