ABU DHABI: The Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination has introduced a new interactive and fun bag for children with visual impairments.
They are giving away 20 of these special bags for free to the first 20 eligible children in Abu Dhabi. To apply, families should send a direct message to the organisation’s Instagram account. They need to include proof of the child’s visual impairment, confirmation of their Abu Dhabi residence, a photo of the determination card, and some personal details about the child.
The bags, designed by the organisation’s creative team—who also include people with visual impairments—were developed during workshops and training sessions.

Each bag contains educational and recreational activities aimed at improving skills, boosting sensory experiences, and helping children connect with their community.
This project shows the Zayed Higher Organisation’s (ZHO) dedication to helping people with visual impairments and making sure they are fully included in society.
With centres and clubs for People of Determination across Abu Dhabi, ZHO provides a range of integrated services that aim at rehabilitating disabled people for inclusion into the community. These services include training and education, vocational and therapeutic rehabilitation (assessment, early intervention, physiotherapy, functional therapy, speech therapy, and vocational training workshops), psychological care, family counselling, as well as supporting educational and sport activities.
The organisation remains committed to creating programmes and projects that support and empower People of Determination, helping them integrate smoothly into the community.
