ABU DHABI: UAE police team is preparing to assist international counterparts in ensuring security at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris 2024 this summer. H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, recently met with the UAE police support team after they completed their specialised training.

The UAE police support team is made up of members from the Ministry of Interior and various General Police Headquarters. This diverse group brings together highly qualified and trained personnel from specialised units across all police sectors. Their collective experience and expertise ensure they are well-prepared to handle the complex security challenges that come with such a large-scale event.

The team’s involvement in the Olympic Games underscores the UAE’s dedication to global security. It also highlights its proactive approach in contributing to international efforts.

During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Saif expressed his full confidence in the team’s abilities and the competence of its members to undertake this significant international mission. He emphasised that their participation is a testament to the UAE’s commitment to global security and cooperation. The Ministry of Interior received an official invitation from the French Ministry of Interior, recognising the UAE’s expertise and capability in maintaining security at such a prestigious global sporting event.
