The UAE’s National Library and Archives joined the Saudi Embassy in Abu Dhabi to mark Saudi Arabia’s 95th National Day with a historic photo exhibition celebrating deep-rooted bilateral ties.
ABU DHABI: The National Library and Archives of the UAE marked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s 95th National Day with a commemorative photo exhibition in collaboration with the Saudi Embassy in Abu Dhabi. Held at Emirates Palace, the event highlighted the longstanding historical and strategic relations between the two nations through a showcase of rare archival images.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, officially toured the exhibition during the reception. He viewed several rare photographs that documented pivotal moments of cooperation and unity between the UAE and Saudi Arabia. He praised the National Library and Archives for playing a vital role in preserving the UAE’s historical memory and showcasing the nation’s close ties with its Gulf neighbour.
The exhibition, which featured dozens of archival images, reflected significant milestones in UAE-Saudi relations, including high-level meetings between leaders and joint initiatives across various fields. It drew strong attention from diplomats, cultural figures, and dignitaries attending the National Day celebration.
Sultan bin Abdullah Al Anqari, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the UAE, commended the National Library and Archives for its efforts to honour the deep-rooted bilateral relationship. He noted that such exhibitions strengthen the shared cultural and diplomatic legacy between the two countries.
The showcased photographs offered an engaging narrative of the UAE-Saudi journey, emphasising shared visions, collaborative growth, and the harmony that continues to define their partnership. The event highlighted the important role of cultural diplomacy in reinforcing regional ties.
