Authorities forecast heavy rain, dust storms and rough seas from Friday to mid-next week across multiple UAE regions.
ABU DHABI: The UAE National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has issued a formal UAE weather warning ahead of unstable weather conditions expected from Friday through to the middle of next week. Residents have been urged to remain alert as strong winds, scattered rainfall, and rough sea conditions are forecast across several parts of the country.
According to forecasts from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), convective cloud formations will develop in the northern, eastern, western, and some inland regions, bringing moderate to heavy rain and winds reaching up to 50 kmph. The winds are expected to cause dust storms and reduced visibility in open areas, particularly during periods of intense cloud activity.
Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman are expected to turn rough intermittently, with authorities advising caution for marine activities and offshore travel. The public has been warned to avoid waterlogged areas and to follow official updates closely.
NCEMA confirmed that emergency teams and monitoring units are on standby across federal and local levels, with real-time coordination underway to respond to any developments during this weather phase. The authority stressed the importance of adhering to guidelines, especially during periods of rainfall and low visibility caused by wind-driven dust.
