Yango Ride’s Lost & Found report shows UAE passengers most often forgot phones, photos and luxury watches in 2024–25.
DUBAI: Yango Ride, the ride-hailing platform under the global tech brand Yango Group, has released its annual Lost & Found report, revealing the most frequently forgotten items by passengers in the UAE between summer 2024 and 2025. The data reflects the unique lifestyles and habits of riders across the Emirates.
According to the report, mobile phones topped the list of forgotten items, accounting for 25% of all reports. These were followed by sentimental items such as photographs and cash (17%), and fashion accessories like sunglasses and watches (13%). But it wasn’t just the usual belongings that passengers left behind.
Among the most curious and high-value items found in Yango vehicles were a Labubu toy figure, MacBook, golden necklace, children’s sandals, a paddle, a Beatles vinyl record, and even a starry sky projector. Luxury watches from brands like Hublot and Vacheron Constantin were also retrieved.
Yango Ride has upgraded its in-app technology to streamline the Lost & Found process. When a driver reports a found item, the app now automatically notifies the passenger, allowing them to connect with the driver directly for faster recovery. This innovation aims to reduce stress and improve response times.
Islam Abdul Karim, Regional Head of Yango Middle East, shared: “Our mission is to transport people with care. Whether it’s a high-value smartphone or a cherished family photo, we handle every lost item with transparency and urgency.”
As ride-hailing services continue to evolve in the UAE, Yango Ride is leading the way with customer-first innovations. The 2024–25 Lost & Found report is a light-hearted but important reminder that even small items matter—and that trust is built through consistent, thoughtful service.
