Gaza’s death toll climbs to 63,459 with 160,256 injured since October 2023. Women and children comprise most casualties amid ongoing Israeli attacks.

Gaza: The Palestinian death toll in Gaza has reached 63,459, with 160,256 injured since October 2023, following intensified Israeli military operations. In the last 24 hours alone, 88 Palestinians were killed and 421 wounded, as reported by local medical sources.

Seven additional deaths from starvation and malnutrition were recorded in the past day, bringing the total famine-related fatalities to 339, including 124 children. This exacerbates the humanitarian emergency triggered by Israel’s total blockade, which restricts access to essential food, water, and medical supplies.

The majority of casualties are women and children, highlighting the disproportionate impact of the conflict on vulnerable civilians. Emergency services remain overwhelmed, with hospitals operating at minimal capacity due to infrastructure damage and resource shortages.

Global organisations continue to call for an immediate ceasefire and unrestricted humanitarian access. The United Nations describes Gaza as “uninhabitable,” urging urgent intervention to prevent further loss of life.
