ABU DHABI: The UAE, through its humanitarian effort called Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, is helping provide clean drinking water to displaced Palestinian families in southern Gaza.
More than 70,000 people in this war-torn area have received water assistance due to severe damage to infrastructure.
Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 volunteers, working with the Water Authority, prepared and distributed water tanks in displacement zones across southern Gaza.
These tanks are refilled daily to ensure that displaced families have access to water, addressing the challenges faced by Gaza’s municipalities, which struggle to provide essential services like water, leading to a humanitarian crisis.

In the first and second phases of the project, the UAE aimed to operate six desalination plants and deliver water through supply lines in Rafah and Khan Yunis governorates. Tanks were installed in various southern areas, benefiting thousands of displaced people through these critical projects, making Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 the largest relief operation in Gaza.
Additionally, 13 tanks of safe drinking water, totaling around 116,000 liters, are filled daily. Several vehicles are also sent to areas where displaced families are located to help them access water easily.
