The UAE unveiled a multi-tasking AI robot at China’s Digital Trade Expo, highlighting its growing leadership in smart technology and robotics.
HANGZHOU: The UAE Pavilion at the Global Digital Trade Expo in China is turning heads with its unveiling of a multi-functional robot that showcases the nation’s progress in artificial intelligence and digital transformation. Developed by Legend Holding Group, the robot has quickly become a star attraction at the event.
Equipped with capabilities such as security surveillance, firefighting, product delivery and customer service, the robot wowed visitors on opening day with lifelike gestures, sign language demonstrations and Chinese language greetings. This blend of AI and cultural interaction underscores the UAE’s commitment to human-centric innovation.
During the UAE Pavilion’s inauguration, executives from Legend briefed senior officials from both China and the UAE about the robot’s development process and its future deployment plans. Waseem Khalayleh, Brand Manager at Legend Holding Group, confirmed that one unit has already arrived in the UAE, with nationwide rollouts expected in 2026 after full service integration.
Legend, based in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone, is a leading contributor to the UAE’s innovation ecosystem. The company has also made strides in the green tech sector, especially in electric vehicle services and sustainable infrastructure development.
The robot’s launch not only strengthens the UAE’s image as a digital pioneer but also reflects deepening UAE-China collaboration in emerging technologies.
