Dubai: The Danube Group has started construction on a new mosque at the National Industries Park (NIP) in Dubai. This will be the first mosque in the area, set to serve over 2,000 worshippers. The mosque is designed to accommodate 1,000 people inside and another 1,000 in the outside area. It will become a key place of worship and a communal space for workers and residents in and around the park.
The groundbreaking ceremony, held on October 8, 2024, was attended by Rizwan Sajan, the Founder and Chairman of Danube Group, Anis Sajan, the Vice Chairman, as well as other senior officials and family members. Community leaders and officials also joined this significant event.
Rizwan Sajan shared his excitement about the project, stating that this mosque represents more than just a place of worship. It symbolises Danube Group’s dedication to giving back to the community and enhancing the area’s infrastructure. He said, “This mosque reflects our values of inclusivity and unity, serving not just worshippers but also the broader community.”

Danube Group has been working closely with DP World and Jafza for 25 years, building a solid partnership that has supported its growth and success. Abdulla Al Hashmi, COO of Parks & Zones at DP World, praised the project for its positive impact on the community, describing it as a symbol of unity and compassion.
The mosque is expected to be completed within a year. The Group is committed to its social responsibilities, having already supported major charity projects, such as the Mothers’ Endowment Campaign and the ‘1 Billion Meals’ initiative.
This new mosque will provide a peaceful space for worship and strengthen community bonds, much like the Majestic Mosque, which Danube built in Dubai Studio City.
