Dubai Humanitarian launches new documentary showcasing its rapid global response as the world’s largest humanitarian logistics hub.
DUBAI: Dubai Humanitarian has unveiled a powerful new documentary, Coming Together: The Dubai Humanitarian Story, offering a rare glimpse into the world’s largest humanitarian logistics hub. Released on World Humanitarian Day, the film highlights how the UAE-based centre leads rapid international relief operations with speed and precision.
In just the first half of 2025, Dubai Humanitarian delivered over AED179 million in aid across 81 countries. The documentary follows its vital work in crisis zones including flood-hit Pakistan and conflict-stricken Gaza. Viewers get a close look at the operations of this vast 150,000 square metre facility—warehouses donated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum—where urgent relief items such as vaccines, clean water and shelter kits are dispatched within hours.
Dubai Humanitarian’s success is driven by strong partnerships with global organisations including the UN World Food Programme and UNHCR, along with logistical support from entities like Emirates Airline and Dubai Customs. The film captures their seamless cooperation in orchestrating aid airlifts and overcoming complex logistical challenges.
Giuseppe Saba, CEO of Dubai Humanitarian, said the hub is “more than a logistics centre – it’s a global lifeline.” This lifeline is strengthened by its AI-powered Humanitarian Logistics Databank, which provides real-time analytics and helps anticipate demands. The system supports more efficient deliveries, reduces environmental impact, and ensures resources reach vulnerable populations faster.
With health-related support alone accounting for nearly USD14 million in the first half of 2025, Dubai Humanitarian continues to be a beacon of international solidarity. From tents to medical supplies, its work underscores the UAE’s critical role in global humanitarian response. The documentary is now available for viewing on the organisation’s official YouTube channel.
