JAKARTA: The UAE’s Rashid Al Mulla, world champion and Abu Dhabi Team star, kicked off the 2025 Aquabike World Championship season with a bronze medal at the Grand Prix of Indonesia held on Lake Toba.
Competing in the freestyle category, Al Mulla collected 40 points to secure third place after an intense showdown with some of the world’s finest aquabike riders. Italy’s Roberto Mariani emerged victorious with 50 points, followed closely by compatriot Massimo Accumulo, who finished second with 44 points.
The result marks a solid start for Al Mulla, who continues to be one of the sport’s most consistent performers. As the reigning world champion in freestyle, his podium finish reinforces his reputation as a dominant force on the global stage.
Fans can now look forward to the second stop of the Rashid Al Mulla bronze campaign at the championship’s Pro-Circuit, scheduled for 17th to 19th October in Olbia, Italy. The event is expected to bring even fiercer competition as riders battle for world ranking points.
