In celebration of the UAE’s 53rd Eid Al Etihad, several Emirate rulers have ordered the release of inmates across the nation, reflecting compassion and a focus on family unity.
In Sharjah, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has pardoned 683 inmates from the Sharjah Correctional and Punitive Institution. Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, expressed gratitude for this gesture, emphasising its role in supporting family stability and social cohesion.
Fujairah’s Ruler, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, has granted clemency to 118 prisoners, chosen based on their good behaviour. The gesture aims to give them a fresh start and bring happiness to their families.
In Ajman, His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi has ordered the release of 304 inmates. He hopes the pardoned individuals will reintegrate into society and experience a joyful reunion with their families during this special occasion.
His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, has also pardoned several prisoners who demonstrated good conduct. He highlighted the importance of giving them a second chance and easing the burden on their families.
These acts of clemency embody the UAE’s commitment to compassion, rehabilitation, and social harmony. By offering prisoners a fresh opportunity to rebuild their lives, the rulers aim to strengthen community bonds and uphold the spirit of Eid Al Etihad.
