ABU DHABI: The inaugural Abu Dhabi Business Week (ADBW) concluded its first day after attracting over 10,000 policymakers and international business leaders. Organised by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), in collaboration with ADDED and ADIO, the event featured discussions on innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth.
Key highlights included the Abu Dhabi Business Summit, where Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, spoke about the importance of economic partnerships. Shamis Ali Al Dhaheri outlined ADCCI services, while Dr. Sara Sabry inspired audiences with her journey to space.
A fireside chat, “The Arts, Sciences & Sacrifices of Winning,” featured Formula 1 legend David Coulthard and football star Clarence Seedorf sharing their insights on success. Magnus Olsson of Careem and Elie Habib of Anghami discussed scaling billion-dollar businesses, while Jo Malone reflected on building global brands.
Mo Gawdat, former Google X executive, delivered a keynote titled “Artificial Intelligence & How You Can Save Our World,” highlighting AI’s potential to shape the future. Randi Zuckerberg emphasised the power of storytelling in business during her session.
The Marketing Lab covered topics such as branding, digital transformation, and redefining brand narratives, with input from leading industry figures. At the Innovation XChange platform, technology leaders, including Microsoft and Khalifa University representatives, discussed how edge computing enhances real-time decision-making.
ADBW continued with more discussions, including the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit (GMIS) and the Family Business Summit, which focused on industrial safety, risk management, and the impact of family-owned businesses.
