ABU DHABI: The Abu Dhabi Martial Arts Academy (ADMA) has officially bagged accreditation from the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF), making it the first academy in the UAE to achieve this honour. With this accreditation, ADMA athletes can now take part in both national and international tournaments under IMMAF’s official banner.

ADMA offers a range of martial arts training, focusing on MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, while also sharpening athletes’ mental and tactical skills. The academy boasts top-notch facilities, including spaces for ground fighting, a martial arts training cage, and a gym to build strength and endurance, providing a well-rounded training environment.

Tarek Al Bahri, General Manager at ADMA, shared his excitement, saying, “We’re incredibly proud of this accreditation. It’s a big step towards our goal of being the go-to place for developing MMA champions in the UAE. This achievement means we can train a new generation of athletes who are ready to compete both locally and globally at the highest levels.”

Andrew Moshanov, IMMAF’s Director of Sport Development, was full of praise for ADMA’s efforts. He said, “IMMAF has been offering education, training, and coaching certifications in the UAE for a while now, and ADMA has always been leading the way. They now have the biggest team of internationally certified coaches all under one roof, setting a great example for others.”

Kerrith Brown, President of IMMAF, also gave a nod to the UAE’s growing reputation as a hotspot for martial arts in the Middle East. He added, “IMMAF is excited to be part of this journey, especially when it comes to promoting the sport’s educational values to the youth.”

This accreditation is a major milestone for ADMA, cementing its position as a key player in the UAE’s martial arts scene.
