ADIHEX 2025 Camel Auction saw elite Arabian camels fetch AED1.7 million, proving heritage and pedigree are still priceless in Abu Dhabi.

ABU DHABI: Where else but Abu Dhabi could camels sell like supercars? On the third day of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2025, the Camel Auction hit total sales of AED 1.770 million — and yes, buyers were battling it out for bloodlines that read like royal family trees.

Held on 1 September, the auction featured young purebred Arabian camels from prestigious bloodlines, each flaunting detailed pedigrees. Organised by ADNEC Group in partnership with the Emirates Falconers’ Club, the event is more than an auction — it’s a statement of cultural pride and modern prestige.

In 2024, the auction raked in over AED 2.5 million, cementing its reputation as the UAE’s ultimate stage for heritage meets high stakes. Buyers this year zeroed in on camels with promising racing potential, carefully weighing the achievements of sires and dams before placing their million-dirham bids.

Running until 7 September, ADIHEX 2025 is the largest in the exhibition’s history, spanning 15 sectors under the theme “A Heritage Renewed.” The event blends tradition with innovation, showcasing everything from falconry to equestrian sports, crafts, and immersive cultural experiences.

For locals, collectors, and curious visitors alike, the Camel Auction has become the star attraction. After all, only in Abu Dhabi can camels strut into the spotlight as luxury icons — and walk away worth more than your favourite sports car.
