DUBAI: The KHDA hosted over 200 educators, parents, students, and policymakers gathered for Dubai’s inaugural E33 CoLabs session to accelerate the rollout of Education 33 (E33), the emirate’s groundbreaking education strategy. This collaborative event highlighted the strategy’s progress and marked the beginning of a series of workshops designed to refine and implement E33’s transformative initiatives.

Launched in October by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, E33 reimagines education by focusing on learner-centric approaches. The strategy aligns with Dubai’s long-term economic and social agendas, shifting away from traditional models to tailor education to individual needs and aspirations.

Aisha Miran, Director General of KHDA, praised the collaborative spirit behind E33, saying, “E33 is a strategy in action, transforming classrooms, empowering communities, and preparing learners for future opportunities. Together, we are shaping a future where education is inclusive, impactful, and lifelong.”

The session showcased several Game Changer initiatives already underway, including ‘Al Freej Nurseries,’ ‘Dubai Flagship University,’ and ‘Excel Anywhere.’ These projects address key priorities like enhancing education for Emirati students, positioning Dubai as a top destination for teachers, improving vocational training, and fostering student and educator well-being.

During the CoLabs, participants co-developed solutions and prototypes for 10 of the 28 Game Changer initiatives. The discussions focused on tailoring education for Emirati students, preparing talent for leadership roles, and empowering parents to guide their children’s learning journeys.

Miran added, “The success of this event reflects the strength of our education community. We’re excited to continue collaborating to bring E33’s vision to life, ensuring every learner is equipped for success and innovation.”

By redefining education at all levels, E33 aims to empower students with the skills and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to Dubai’s future.
