Dubai Police has added three Mercedes-Benz models to its luxury patrol fleet on World Tourism Day, enhancing presence at key tourist locations.
DUBAI: In celebration of World Tourism Day on 27 September, Dubai Police unveiled three new luxury patrol vehicles from Mercedes-Benz, bolstering its iconic fleet with cutting-edge technology and sustainable mobility solutions. The new models — Mercedes SL 55 AMG, GT 63 AMG, and the fully electric EQS 580 — were officially inaugurated during a ceremony hosted by the Tourism Police Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation.
The vehicles feature the latest in mechanical performance, AI-powered systems, and smart displays offering real-time feedback to drivers. These upgrades are part of Dubai Police’s ongoing efforts to maintain high standards of security, visibility, and community engagement across the city’s most frequented tourist zones.
Brigadier Saeed Al Hajri, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, commended the collaboration with Gargash Enterprises, Mercedes-Benz’s official dealer in the UAE. He highlighted the strategic goal of enhancing the force’s presence in popular areas like Burj Khalifa, Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, and Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), while offering tourists both protection and proactive support.
“The luxury patrol fleet serves not only a functional role in policing but also demonstrates the city’s innovation and hospitality spirit,” said Brigadier Al Hajri.
Mercedes-Benz UAE’s General Manager Thomas Schulz said the partnership exemplifies a commitment to modern and sustainable transport. The initiative also reinforces Dubai’s status as a global tourism leader with a forward-thinking, tech-driven police force.
At the conclusion of the launch, officials from Dubai Police and Mercedes-Benz exchanged commemorative shields, reaffirming their commitment to shared innovation.
