ARUSHA: A determined group of young Emiratis has proudly raised the UAE flag atop Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, after successfully completing a challenging climb that symbolises their strength, unity, and perseverance.
Standing at 5,895 metres, Mount Kilimanjaro is one of the famed Seven Summits of the world. What makes this feat more remarkable is the team’s choice to ascend via the Machame Route, considered the second most difficult path. Known for its steep ascents and demanding terrain, this route requires climbers to possess both physical endurance and mental toughness.
The young Emiratis devoted months of careful preparation, training extensively to adapt to the high-altitude environment and physical rigours of the climb. Their successful expedition highlights the values of discipline, courage, and ambition that characterise the UAE’s next generation of leaders and adventurers.
